About Scotties In the City Trail
The Maggie’s Scotties in the City trail is a free public art trail taking place across Glasgow and surrounding areas from 18 June to 16 August 2026. The trail features 40 giant Scottie dog sculptures, each uniquely designed by artists and sponsored by local organisations, alongside more than 50 smaller Scotties created by schools, nurseries and community groups. Visitors can follow the trail using a free app, collect sculptures, unlock rewards and explore different parts of the city while learning more about Maggie's cancer support charity. At the end of the trail, the sculptures will be auctioned to raise vital funds for Maggie’s centres across Scotland.
For Giffnock Village, Sherlock Bones is one of these giant Scotties and forms part of the city-wide trail designed to bring communities together, encourage exploration, celebrate creativity and raise awareness and funds for Maggie's, which provides free support for people with cancer and their families.
