- Giffnocks Summer Jamboree A Jam Packed Day Of Community Fun
Giffnock’s Summer Jamboree brought the sunshine — well, in spirit if not always in sky — to the Giffnock Primary School playground for a day of summer fun!

A Garden Full of Goodies
The Giffnock Primary School playground was transformed into a space full of market stalls selling handmade accessories, toys, books, crafts, and of course, our very own exclusive strawberry and lime jam.
The Great Giffnock Bake Off
The first-ever Great Giffnock Bake Off was a hit! We were thrilled to see so many entries incorporating our event’s jam theme, with cakes, cookies, biscuits, brownies and much much more! It was so tough to choose just one winner, we didn’t. Two outstanding bakers walked away with a custom Bake Off apron and a voucher to spend at a Giffnock business of their choice!

Rides and Retro Vans
The funfair rides kept kids happy all day long, and over in the RBS car park, families enjoyed looking at the iconic Tunnock’s van and a vintage bus kindly brought along by the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust. Visitors were also treated to free Tunnock’s Teacakes and Caramel Logs!

Live Music… and a Bit of Drizzle
What’s a Scottish summer without a spot of rain? Thankfully, our local buskers didn’t let the drizzle dampen their spirits. Live performances across Giffnock brought a lively soundtrack to the day, with shoppers and visitors stopping to soak in the tunes!

Paddington Takes Giffnock
Families were invited to take part in our Paddington-themed window trail, spotting the bear himself in shop windows across the town. With a passport in hand, young explorers had to find the hidden letters, solve the secret sentence, and collect stamps along the way. A bear-y good time was had by all.
From jam to jazz, buns to buskers, the Summer Jamboree captured everything we love about Giffnock. A huge thank you to everyone who came along, supported local, and brought the community spirit in full force.
This event was brought to you by Giffnock Village Business Improvement District (BID), proudly funded by the local businesses of Giffnock.
